Marina Castellanos

Communications Consultant 

 

Marina is a recent graduate and received her bachelor’s degree in English and her Professional and Technical Writing Certificate from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB).

 

During her time at CSULB, she served as a student board member for the university’s Welcoming Accountable Voices in Education (WAVE) program. She used the Restorative Justice model to determine the consequences of student misconduct. Additionally, as a Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) Leader, she facilitated discussions in inclusivity, diversity, and intersectionality to incoming students. She also became the publications editor for the University Outreach & School Relations component and finalized publications that promoted the university. She gained social media experience in her position as Social Media Marketing Assistant for the organization Associated Students Incorporated, creating posts for their various social media platforms.
