Katrina Steffek (She/Her)
Interim Executive Director
Katrina is a nonprofit executive, strategic advisor, and leadership coach. She has dedicated her career to strengthening values-driven organizations by translating their visions into effective operational and collaborative processes. As Senior Director of Talent Development at Venture Leadership Consulting she specializes in interim executive roles and capacity building projects for nonprofit clients working towards equity and justice.
Previously, she was Chief Operating Officer and Head of People at RSF Social Finance, where she led the organization through more than a decade of program expansion, change processes, and asset growth from $60M to over $200M. While at RSF she also co-founded the Women’s Capital Collaborative, a philanthropic initiative that provides impact investments, loans, grants, and mentorship to BIPOC and women-led businesses.
Prior to RSF, she served as a Research Associate in the Ethnic Studies Department at UC San Diego, ran a small co-op food business, and worked as an intern and community organizer for the Environmental Health Coalition of San Diego. She has also served on the boards of GirlVentures, Yggdrasil Land Foundation, and the Scandinavian School & Cultural Center. Katrina has a Masters in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco, a B.A. in Urban Studies and Planning from UC San Diego, and an International Business Certificate from Niels Brock Business School in Copenhagen, Denmark. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and two children.
