Sukhinder Singh Cassidy
Sukhinder Singh Cassidy is a digital leader, board member and entrepreneur with 25+ years of leadership experience scaling and founding both b2c and b2b companies including Google, Amazon, Yodlee, Joyus and StubHub. She is also Founder and Chairman of theBoardlist, a premium talent marketplace launched in 2015, to recommend and discover diverse leaders for board and executive service, and a Venture Partner at Acrew Capital.
From May 2018 to June 2020, Sukhinder served as the President of StubHub Inc, the leading global consumer ticketing marketplace for live entertainment. In February 2020, StubHub was acquired by Viagogo for $4+ bn, in a record transaction led by Sukhinder and her team. Prior to StubHub, Sukhinder served as Founder & CEO of Joyus from 2011 to 2017, a premium video commerce platform that was acquired by Stack Commerce. From 2003 to 2009, Sukhinder was at Google, where she served as President of Asia Pacific and Latin America, growing the business from $60m to $2bn+ in annual revenues across 108 different countries. Sukhinder started her career at Google as the first GM of Maps and Local, which she helped launch.
Earlier in her career, Sukhinder co-founded fintech pioneer Yodlee, where she served as the company’s SVP of Business Development, establishing its business model, helping raise over $100m in equity capital, and building revenues from inception to $15m annually in ARR. Yodlee went public in 2015.
Sukhinder currently serves as a board director at Urban Outfitters (URBN) and Lead Independent Director at Canada Drives and Upstart, Inc (UPST). She has previously served as a board member at Ericsson, TripAdvisor, Stitchfix, J.Crew and as a strategic Advisor to Twitter.
For her work in the Internet industry, Ms. Singh Cassidy has been profiled in numerous publications globally, including Forbes, Fortune, NYT, WSJ, Bloomberg, Vanity Fair, Recode and more, as well as several leadership books. She has been named one of the Most Creative People in Business By Fast Company, one of the Top 100 People in the Valley by Business Insider, a “Woman to Watch” by Forbes, Fortune, and Ad Age; Techcrunch’s first General Management Fellow; and one of the Top 100 Women of Influence in Silicon Valley.
In August 2021, Sukhinder published her first leadership book, the Wall Street Journal bestseller Choose Possibility, aimed at helping people unlock more professional success through systemic risk-taking. Sukhinder has an undergraduate degree from the Ivey School of Business Administration at the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
